Bali, Indonesia | June 5, 2026 – A delegation from the Vietnam Executive Housekeepers Association (VEHA), led by Mr. Nguyen Quang, President of VEHA, together with Mr. Tran Duc and Mr. Do Ba Cong, Vice Presidents of VEHA, Ms. Cao Thi Cam Ly, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Housekeeping Club, and representatives of VEHA, attended the International Housekeeper's Conference, Exhibition 2026 organized by the Indonesian Housekeepers Association Bali Region (IHKA Bali) at Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Bali.

The event is one of the largest professional forums for the Housekeeping industry in Indonesia, bringing together hotel managers, Housekeeping professionals, hospitality solution providers, and representatives of professional associations from various ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

With the theme: “From Tradition to Transformation: Culture of Housekeeping Leadership in the Age of AI” the program focused on discussing emerging trends in Housekeeping management, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, workforce development, and enhancing guest experiences in the modern hospitality industry.

The event was honored to welcome representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, leaders of the Bali Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI Bali), and executives of Housekeeping professional organizations across the ASEAN region.

In his opening remarks, Mr. CADI (Cahaya Adi Putra), President of IHKA Bali, expressed his gratitude to tourism authorities, supporting businesses, and international delegations for attending the event. He emphasized that Housekeeping is not merely an operational department within hotels but also a vital force in shaping service quality, guest experiences, and the image of tourism destinations.

According to Mr. Cadi, as technology and AI continue to transform the global hospitality industry, Housekeeping professionals must continuously learn, innovate their management approaches, and enhance their professional competencies to adapt to emerging trends while preserving the core values of hospitality and the unique service culture of each nation.

In their speeches at the event, representatives of Indonesia’s tourism sector and leaders of the Bali Hotel & Restaurant Association (PHRI Bali) also highlighted the important role of Housekeeping teams in improving accommodation service quality, preserving local cultural identity, and contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism industry. The speakers emphasized that in the era of digital transformation, maintaining the traditional spirit of hospitality that characterizes Bali and ASEAN remains a key factor in creating the region’s distinctiveness and attractiveness within the hospitality sector.

One of the most anticipated sessions of the conference was the international Talk Show, featuring experts and leaders of professional associations from Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, who exchanged perspectives on the future of the Housekeeping profession in the age of AI.

Representing VEHA, Mr. Tran Duc, Vice President of VEHA and Executive Housekeeper of JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon, participated in the discussion by responding to the question: “How has AI begun to impact Housekeeping operations in hotels and in Vietnam?

Sharing insights from his experience managing international hotels in Vietnam, Mr. Tran Duc stated that technology and AI are gradually being applied to various operational functions, including room occupancy forecasting, workforce scheduling, service quality control, customer data analysis, and management decision support.

He emphasized: “From my perspective, technology in management is not meant to replace people, it is designed to help us make better decisions, improve operational consistency, and create more time for meaningful interactions with guests.”

This message resonated strongly with international delegates, who agreed that the future of the hospitality industry will be built upon a harmonious combination of advanced technology and human-centered service values.

On the occasion of participating in the event, on behalf of the VEHA Executive Committee and the Vietnamese Housekeeping community, Mr. Nguyen Quang, President of VEHA, presented a VEHA Commemorative Plaque to the leadership of IHKA Bali, extending congratulations on the successful organization of the program and recognizing IHKA Bali’s positive contributions to the development of the Housekeeping profession in Indonesia and throughout the ASEAN region.

This exchange activity further reaffirmed the increasingly strong cooperative relationship between VEHA and IHKA Bali, while opening up new opportunities for collaboration in training, professional knowledge exchange, workforce development, and elevating the status of the Housekeeping profession within the ASEAN hospitality community.

As the leading professional organization for Vietnam’s Housekeeping industry, VEHA will continue to promote international networking activities, creating opportunities for members to learn from global best practices, access advanced management trends, and contribute to enhancing the quality of Vietnam’s hospitality workforce in the era of global integration.
