The Vietnam Executive Housekeepers Association (VEHA) successfully organized an International Conference with the theme “Sustainable Development in Hospitality Industry” in conjunction with “Housekeeping Amazing Games 2023” with over 300 attendances from different countries on 18 and 19 November 2023 at Muong Thanh Luxury Ha Long Center Hotel.

Attending the conference, there were keynote speakers who are experts in the field of Hospitality Industry, including Mrs. Do Hong Xoan-Chairwoman of Vietnam Hotels Association, Mr. Nguyen The Hue – Chairman of Quang Ninh Tourism Association, Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Hotel Department at Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Mrs. Nguyen Huyen Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Quang Ninh, Mr. Nguyen Quang – Chairman of Vietnam Executive Housekeepers Association, Ms. Akshi Singh-President of Kuwait Housekeepers Hub, Ms. Ava Tan Mei Hoong-President of Malaysia Association of Housekeepers (MAHIR), Mr. Nyoman Sugiarta -Chairman of BPP IHKA for Indonesia, Ms. Janejira Dithasorn – Vice President of Executive Housekeepers Association Thailand, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Minh - President of Vietnam Human Resources Organization (VHRO), Mr. Tran Duc –Chairman of VEHA in HCM City & South of Vietnam, Mrs Dao Thi Thoa – Chairwoman of VEHA in Quang Ninh Province, Mrs. Dang Thi Thu – Chairwman of VEHA located in Hai Phong Province, Mr Do Ba Cong – Chairman of VEHA Quang Nam Province, Mr. Tran Van Trung – Chairman of VEHA in Da Nang City, Mrs. Doan Binh Thin – Chairwman of VEHA in Da Lat, Lam Dong Province together with over 300 VEHA’s member and delegate are leaders of company, hotel managers experts in fields related to Hospitality Industry and representatives from countries around the world.

Opening speech of Mr Nguyen Quang – Chairman of VEHA

Speaking at the conference's opening, Mr Nguyen Quang – Chairman of VEHA shared about Sustainable tourism development is an essential requirement for every nation, contributing to the growth of the smokeless industry. In 2023, the message from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for World Tourism Day is "Tourism and Green Investment," emphasizing that investment is a top priority for the recovery, growth, and sustainable development of tourism in the future. UNWTO underscores the necessity of investing more in people, the planet, and prosperity.

“The conference aims to properly understand Green hotels and sustainable tourism development, the current situation of the tourist accommodation system in Vietnam, and Green transformation solutions of typical hotels in Vietnam and around the world, introducing new products and new technologies that contribute to green and sustainable development for the hotel industry in Vietnam, solutions that ensure a balance between the interests of investors and the interests of people. labor, to join hands to contribute to the sustainable development of the hotel industry in Vietnam according to the development of Vietnam Tourism in the coming time"

The speech of the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Hotels Association - Ms. Do Hong Xoan - highly appreciated VEHA's activities over the last nine years, implementing many meaningful and practical programs, not only on leadership skills training and honoring Housekeeping staff, but also increasingly contributing to the development of the hotel industry and Vietnam Tourism too. Such as the seminar "Attraction Solutions, Developing Human Resources for the Hotel Industry - creating an Attractive Working Environment with Great Experiences for Hotel Employees" in September 2022 in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa, and the International Conference "Developing Sustainable Development in the Hospitality Industry" in Ha Long this time. The VEHA is also the only member of the Vietnam Hotels Association that has had many international connections and exchanges, inviting experts and leaders of other country's associations to share experiences, contributing to improving the efficiency of all workshops organized by the VEHA
